Matthew DeRosa
Matt DeRosa is a NA3HL ice hockey forward playing for the Rochester Grizzlies, in Rochester Minnesota and currently plays under head coach Chris Ratzkoff and Assistant Coach Mike Aikens. Matt was called up to the Austin Bruins to finish out the season in the NAHL.

Grizzlies Players Advancing Through Tenders, Draft

ROCHESTER, Minn. – The Rochester Grizzlies had a strong inaugural season in 2018-19. The team finished third in the West Division at 31-15-1-0 (63 points) and made the Fraser Cup Playoffs. Now some of their players are being rewarded through North American Hockey League tenders and being drafted.
Two Grizzlies have already signed NAHL tenders for the 2019-20 season. Forward Peyton Hart signed a tender with the Janesville Jets in early January and forward Matt DeRosa recently signed a tender with the Jamestown Rebels. Both players played integral parts on the Grizzlies this past season as they both finished in the top five of scoring for Rochester (DeRosa third and Hart fifth).

Jamestown, NY – The Jamestown Rebels are proud to announce that we have signed forward Matt DeRosa to a 2019-20 tender.
DeRosa, 18, spent the 2018-19 season, his rookie campaign, with the NA3HL’s Rochester Grizzlies, maintaining a point-per-game pace, finishing with 46 points (23 G, 23 A) in 46 regular season games. His consistency continued into the postseason, where he tallied two goals in three playoff games for Rochester. When DeRosa was on the ice, good things happened, as his +37 lead the Grizzlies through the regular season.

ROCHESTER, Minn. – The Rochester Grizzlies of the North American 3 Hockey League have announced forward Matt DeRosa has signed a 2019-20 North American Hockey League tender with the Jamestown Rebels. By signing a tender with the Rebels, DeRosa is now ineligible for the NAHL Draft, which is Tuesday, June 4th. His rights are controlled by Jamestown.

ROCHESTER, Minn. – The Rochester Grizzlies have announced forward Matt DeRosa has been named to the North American 3 Hockey League 18U All-Star Team. The team will play in an 18U Top Prospects Tournament which will be held in cooperation with the 2019 NAHL Robertson Cup Championship. The tournament will take place from May 10-12 at Fogerty Arena in Blaine, MN.
